My bike ride today: Boughton, Chart Sutton, Headcorn, Ulcombe, Leeds & Otham.
Yellow archangel.
Cuckoo flower.
Hemlock water dropwort. One of the world’s most poisonous plants. The poison is most concentrated in the roots.
White dead nettle. An important nectar source for insects.
Leighbridge Farm, Headcorn.
Muscovy ducks at Great Tong Farm, Headcorn.
Horse-tail. A survivor from the Carboniferous period. It was common in swamps in the era when most coal deposits were laid down.
Eggs bought at cottage gate £1 for 1/2doz.
