Old cottage, Loose Valley.
More deer (a bit far off!).
Yellow chorydalis. A common flower growing in old walls
& other dry places, it is a native of S. Europe. It has an interesting
relationship with ants which are attracted to the seeds because they contain
important nutrients. The ants carry the seeds to their nests & in so doing
the seeds often get lodged in rocky crevices where they germinate. This ant-assisted
seed distribution is known as myrmechocory.
This is garlic mustard which is a common hedgerow plant
& the main food plant of orange tip butterfly caterpillars.
